We opened at the oyster stall and the grilled oysters, cheese-topped and torched, were not great. The raw ones were the reason to queue. Our advice in the video was to eat them naked, no sauce, because they were that fresh.

This is the same stall we scored 8/10 in our GrillFest 2025 ratings. The score would have been higher if we had only ordered raw.

Share the Jett platter, do not solo it

Jett Barbecue's Everything Platter was $149 and meant for a group: a smoked beef rib, two smoked beef cheek burgers, beef-loaded tater tots and their mashed potato. We called it a solid 9/10 every single time. Split four ways it is a normal dinner bill. Alone it is a bad decision.

CHARROU, then NBCB while it is hot

CHARROU was new that year and it was the surprise. The skin on the roast pork cracked properly, the char siew was well seasoned, and everything tasted freshly cut. NBCB was the burger stop: the GCB was the one to get, and you have to eat it hot. Do not leave without the hot dog either. We gave NBCB an 8/10. Wash it down with Gyushi's fresh-pressed sugarcane, which was pretty good and hard to get wrong.
