Paradox Singapore Merchant Court brought its Meat and Foie Gras Buffet back to Ellenborough Market Cafe from 6 March 2026, at $98++ per adult and $42++ per child aged 6 to 12. At launch it ran at dinner on Fridays to Sundays and public holidays, in two seatings of two hours, 6pm to 8pm and 8pm to 10pm. Kids five and under ate free.
This buffet first ran at Paradox from 28 February to 1 June 2025, Fridays to Sundays, according to the hotel's own press release. The 2026 edition came back at the same $98++, and our announcement pulled 292 comments.
This post is the record of the launch and the full menu. For what it was like on the night, see our reel walkthrough of the highlights. For the seating strategy, see the Ellenborough buffet guide.
The fixed stations were the reason for the price. Unlimited pan-seared foie gras at the seared station. An alfresco char-grill with Australian Wagyu, lamb chop, babi cho coo, ayam percik and chicken satay sausage. A noodle station doing Wagyu beef shoyu ramen.
Around that: seafood on ice (tiger prawns, whelks, white clams, green mussels, scallops), sushi and maki, salmon, tuna, octopus and ama ebi sashimi, barramundi with a house-made sauce, and a DIY corner for rojak with shrimp paste dressing and kueh pie tie.
The rest rotated daily, and the menu said how many of each you would get on a given night: 4 appetisers, 2 soups, 7 hot mains, 6 Peranakan and local dishes, 8 patisserie items, 3 local desserts and fresh fruit.
Foie gras turned up in more places than the station. The appetisers included Thai smoked duck with foie gras salad, the soups a foie gras and wild mushroom veloute, and the hot mains a foie gras-infused mushroom dish. On the Peranakan side you had ayam buah keluak, beef rendang and udang kuah nanas. The fixed desserts were durian pengat, nyonya kueh, shaved ice and ice cream.
Each seating had a hard two-hour limit, and you picked one. The ++ meant 10% service charge plus GST on top, so budget close to $118 a head before drinks. The hotel took reservations through dining@paradoxsingapore.com and +65 6239 1847.
Our post also ran a comment-MEAT code for 50% off, sent by DM. It has expired. Later in the run the hotel's own menu listed Thursdays as well and moved the second seating to 8.15pm to 10.15pm. The buffet has since ended, and from 28 August 2026 Ellenborough's weekend dinner became a Claypot Galore Live Station and Peranakan Buffet.
· Take the 6pm seating if you want the grill before the queue builds.
· Kids five and under ate free. For a family with small children, that did more for the bill than any code.
· Paradox Merchant Court is on Merchant Road, a short walk from Clarke Quay MRT.
