Two things are still open. The PRESSED! kiosk at Shell Siglap, 40 Upper East Coast Road, is permanent, with the grilled cheese menu and the Cheeselads cheese fridge. What was inside the box

Four mystery cheeses, drawn from a rotation of over 100 variations, with a card inside naming each one. You did not pick them, that was the point of the mystery. The box came with pairing condiments: honeycomb, assorted nuts and dried fruits. And at collection, a half grilled cheese sandwich, the classic, was pressed hot for you on the spot. Nothing in the box or the sandwich contained meat.

Why a petrol station

PRESSED! by Cheeselads is a grilled cheese kiosk that lives inside the Shell station at 40 Upper East Coast Road, run by the team behind Cheeselads, the Tyrwhitt Road cheese specialists. How ordering and collection worked

Orders went through eventful-sg.com/drop-001, and you picked your collection day at checkout. Orders placed by Wednesday 11.59pm collected that coming weekend, Friday to Sunday, any time between 12pm and 6.30pm at the Shell Siglap station. The QR ticket arrived by email, staff scanned it once, and the sandwich was pressed while you waited. Boxes not collected by 6.30pm on the chosen day were forfeited. Was it worth $59

The set was priced at $59 against a usual price of $73, with GST included, but the honest pitch was never the discount. Four cheeses chosen for you from a hundred-plus rotation, with the pairings already matched, is a cheese board someone else curated.
