What is inside the box
Four mystery cheeses, drawn from a rotation of over 100 variations, with a card inside naming each one. You do not pick them, that is the point of the mystery. The box comes with pairing condiments: honeycomb, assorted nuts and dried fruits. And when you collect, a half grilled cheese sandwich, the classic, gets pressed hot for you on the spot. Nothing in the box or the sandwich contains meat.
Why a petrol station
PRESSED! by Cheeselads is a grilled cheese kiosk that lives inside the Shell station at 40 Upper East Coast Road, run by the team behind Cheeselads, the Tyrwhitt Road cheese specialists. The box exists only through this drop. You cannot buy it off their counter, and when the 150 are gone, that is the end of it.
How to order and collect
Order at eventful-sg.com/drop-001 and pick your collection day at checkout. Orders placed by Wednesday 6pm collect that coming weekend, Friday to Sunday, any time between 12pm and 6.30pm at the Shell Siglap station. Your QR ticket arrives by email, staff scan it once, and the sandwich is pressed while you wait. Boxes not collected by 6.30pm on your collection day are forfeited, so treat the day you pick as real.
Is it worth $59
The set is priced at $59 against a usual price of $73, with GST included, but the honest pitch is not the discount. Four cheeses chosen for you from a hundred-plus rotation, with the pairings already matched, is a cheese board someone else curated.
