How Makan Pets Works: Hatch the Egg, Level It Up With Meals

Makan Pets starts with a free 8-question foodie personality quiz at eventful-sg.com/makanpets, no app needed, that tells you which of 7 pets you are. Your pet then arrives as an egg: you name it, tap it 12 times to hatch it, and it levels up every time you eat a meal booked through Eventful Tables.
The quiz is one Singapore eating day in 8 taps, from the 8:32am drinks stall to 11pm supper. It takes about two minutes, and you do not need an account. Your result is your foodie personality: one of six pets you can see, or a hidden seventh.
Under your result, the page tells you there is a little version of your pet in an egg. Name it, then tap it to hatch it.
On your pet page, tap the egg 12 times. Cracks show up as you go, and on the 12th tap it bursts open and your pet is born at Lv 1, Baby, 0 XP. We hatched one ourselves while writing this. It is a small thing, and weirdly satisfying.

Step 3: feed it real meals
Your pet does not grow from tapping or from playing. It grows from eating out. Every meal you book through Eventful Tables earns XP, and the pet grows once the bill is paid.
The more people at the table, the more XP that meal pays. A first meal for two is enough to take a new pet from Lv 1 to Lv 8. For a table of two, the next meals land around Lv 13, 16, 19 and 21, so the early jumps feel big and then it slows. Restaurants are at eventful-sg.com/tables.
The stages: Baby, Teen, Adult, Legendary
Your pet looks different at each stage. Baby from Lv 1, Teen from Lv 16, Adult from Lv 36, and Legendary at Lv 100, the cap.

· Pick a name you will not mind your friends seeing on your story card.
· Bring friends to dinner. A bigger table pays your pet more XP for the same meal.

Can I retake the Makan Pets quiz?
Yes. There is a Take it again button at the bottom of your result, but your first completed quiz decides your pet. A retake only shows you a new result.
