HeyTea Paya Lebar Quarter: The PLQ Outlet, Unit and What Was Behind the Hoarding

What we saw in May, and what it became

In the first week of May the Level 1 unit beside Starbucks was boarded up with HeyTea's white hoarding, the sketch of the tea drinker and the "do not lean" signs. That is the brand's standard tease and it usually means two to three months out. It took a little longer: the outlet opened in the third week of August 2026, with a buy one get one free deal on counter orders from 21 to 23 August and a canvas bag for the first 200 customers, per the opening promo listing.

PLQ is now the most stacked bubble tea floor in the east: CHAGEE, KOI, CHICHA San Chen, PlayMade and Mr Coconut are all in the same mall. We wrote up CHAGEE's PLQ opening when that one landed.
