Family Hakata in Ang Mo Kio takes bookings of up to 20 people for its MUIS-certified halal mookata buffet, $19.90 nett a head, so 20 adults pay $398 for the buffet. Booking on Eventful Tables is free, minimum two people, with seatings from 1pm daily and last orders at 9:30pm.

The cheapest slots for a big table
The deal timings, exactly as written: Mon to Fri, 1pm to 4pm: 10% off all food. Mon to Thu, 5pm to 8pm: 5% off. Drinks not included, no discounts on public holidays. Only 5 bookings per timing.
Five bookings per timing is not many. Twenty people is one booking, so grab the slot as soon as the date is agreed.
Birthdays and family gatherings
The counter already ends with fruit, cake and ice pops, which covers dessert for most birthdays.
Outside cakes are not something we have confirmed, so ask the outlet before you carry one in. A weekday 5pm table on Mon to Thu still gets 5% off all food, which suits a family dinner after work.
