Din Tai Fung Singapore launched the Steamed Strawberry Mochi Xiao Long Bao islandwide from 1 February 2026, at $15.80++ for six or $20.80++ for ten. It is a mochi skin around Korean strawberry jam and Belgian white chocolate, and it is still listed on Din Tai Fung Singapore's menu as of 7 October 2026.
Din Tai Fung describes a homemade jam made from Korean strawberries, sweet and tangy, inside a mochi layer, with Belgian white chocolate blended in for a ganache-like richness. The skin keeps the pleated xiao long bao shape, but you are biting into dessert, not soup.
Our caption asked the obvious question: would it beat the chocolate one? Din Tai Fung already had a chocolate mochi xiao long bao, and it has run chocolate desserts before, like the Lola Lava Chocolate Bun we rated.
At launch it was $15.80++ for six pieces and $20.80++ for ten, available at every Din Tai Fung outlet in Singapore from 1 February 2026. Those are the prices from our January post; check the bill in store for today's.
Unlike the seasonal sweets, this one stayed. Din Tai Fung called it a permanent item, and on 7 October 2026 it was still on Din Tai Fung Singapore's menu page, next to the Mama Mochi Chocolate and Black Sesame Mochi xiao long bao. The menu marks it as containing dairy.
· Order the six-piece to share after the savoury dishes. Ten is a lot of sweet for two people.
· Eat them hot. Mochi firms up as it cools.
· It contains dairy, so skip it if anyone at the table cannot have milk.
It launched at $15.80++ for six pieces and $20.80++ for ten in Singapore. Check the current menu in store as prices can change.
