Top photo: Roti prata with curry. Photo: Jpatokal on Wikimedia Commons, CC BY-SA 3.0Al Falah, 681 Hougang Ave 8 #01-855, about 13 minutes from Hougang MRT. Open 24 hours. Small, round, crispy coin prata that is soft inside, and the reason it topped our prata ranking at 9 out of 10. Order coin prata and nothing fancy.
R.K. Eating House, 1 Kensington Park Road, Serangoon Gardens, about 20 to 25 minutes on foot from Lorong Chuan MRT, or a short bus ride. Also 24 hours. Ask for the prata tsunami: prata buried under chicken curry, mutton curry, dalcha, sambal and soft-boiled eggs. A sharing plate, not a solo one. Next door is Chomp Chomp, see our Serangoon Gardens guide.
Springleaf Prata Place, Springleaf Garden, 1 Thong Soon Avenue, near Springleaf MRT (TE4). Listed in the 2026 Michelin Guide. 8am to 11pm, last order 10.30pm to 10.45pm. Casuarina Curry, 136 and 138 Casuarina Road, off Upper Thomson Road, about 1.1km from Mayflower MRT. It runs prata workshops and on-the-spot prata catering too, which tells you how seriously it takes the dough. Hours: check their socials.
The Roti Prata House, 246M Upper Thomson Road, near Upper Thomson MRT. The one Thomson people have gone to for years. Honest take: it scored 6 out of 10 when we rated it, below what we remembered. Fine if you are already there late.

Zam Zam, 697-699 North Bridge Road, about 7 minutes from Bugis MRT. Open 7 days, and its own site says it has been making murtabak and biryani for over a century. Not prata strictly, but murtabak is prata's bigger, meatier cousin. See our Kampong Glam guide.
Al-Azhar Eating Restaurant, 11 Cheong Chin Nam Road, opposite Beauty World MRT. A long-running Indian-Muslim eatery on the Beauty World strip. Hours: check their socials. Its site is being rebuilt, so call +65 6466 5052 if in doubt.
