Al Falah and R.K. Eating House, 9/10

Al Falah is at 681 Hougang Ave 8, #01-855, and it runs 24 hours. The pratas come out small, round and crispy on the outside, soft inside, which is exactly what coin prata should be. We called it top tier legendary and we still mean it. It also showed up at 9/10 in our Hougang supper spots ranking, so this is not a one-off opinion.

R.K. Eating House is at 1 Kensington Park Road in Serangoon Gardens, also open 24 hours. Order the prata tsunami: prata buried under chicken curry, mutton curry, dalcha, sambal and soft-boiled eggs. It is a mess. It is also the reason for the 9.

Springleaf and Enaq, 7/10

Springleaf Prata Place is the classic. Nothing surprising, nothing wrong, and you know what you are getting. Their newest outlet opened at Woodlands CC in June 2026, and we covered the Woodlands opening separately.

Enaq the Prata Shop was pretty good. Our honest take was that Al Falah still does it better, and one bite of each back to back settles it.

The Roti Prata House, 6/10

The Roti Prata House on Upper Thomson Road is the one people have been going to for years, which is exactly the problem. It was not as good as we remembered. Still a fair supper stop if you are already in Thomson late, but we would not drive there for it.
