For a long work session in a Singapore cafe, our top three are Dewgather at one-north (to 10pm daily), The Book Cafe on Martin Road (to 9.30pm Wednesday to Sunday) and Common Man Coffee Roasters on Joo Chiat Road (to 9.30pm Tuesday to Sunday). One honest note first: none of these ten publishes wifi or power-point details on its own site, so we do not claim either.

Most listicles promise free wifi and plugs. When we checked cafes' own websites on 19 October 2026, almost none said either way. So this list sorts on what we could verify: long opening hours, walk-in rules and a location near an MRT. Bring a charged laptop and your phone hotspot, and you will never be stuck.
The other rule is manners. Buy something every couple of hours, take a two-seater not a four, and leave at the weekend lunch rush.
Common Man Stan, 11 to 12 Stanley Street (Telok Ayer MRT). Daily 7.30am to 6pm, walk-ins only. Common Man says the booth seats at the back work for lunchtime meetings, and that is fair. Go after the lunch rush.
The Book Cafe, 20 Martin Road, #01-02, Seng Kee Building (Great World MRT). Monday and Tuesday 8.30am to 5.30pm, Wednesday to Sunday 8.30am to 9.30pm. One of the few cafes here that runs into the evening most days.
Twenty Eight Cafe Wilkie Road, 28 Wilkie Road, #01-02/03/04, Sophia Flat (Dhoby Ghaut MRT). Daily 8am to 6pm, last order 5pm. A residential street, so it is calmer than the city outlets.
Twenty Eight Cafe at National Gallery, 1 St Andrew Road, #01-11/12/13/14/17 (City Hall MRT). Daily 9am to 7pm, last order 6pm, sharing the space with Kopi 1930. Handy if you have meetings in the Civic District.
Tiong Bahru Bakery Foothills, 70 River Valley Road, #01-05, Fort Canning (Fort Canning MRT). Monday to Friday 7.30am to 7pm, weekends 8am to 7pm. A park-edge spot by Fort Canning Park.
Plain Vanilla, 1D Yong Siak Street (Tiong Bahru MRT). Daily 7.30am to 7pm. No reservations at any of its stores, and it is cash-free. Weekday mornings only; on weekends it is a brunch spot and you will feel it. More in our Tiong Bahru food guide.
Dewgather, 1 Vista Exchange Green, #01-46, The Star Vista (Buona Vista MRT). Monday to Saturday 8am to 10pm, Sunday 7.30am to 10pm. Long hours, which matters if your work day starts late.
Common Man Coffee Roasters Joo Chiat, 185 Joo Chiat Road (Paya Lebar MRT, about a 15-minute walk). Monday 7.30am to 5pm, Tuesday to Sunday 7.30am to 9.30pm. Walk-in by day; reservations only from 5.30pm. In a 1920s shophouse with window seats. See our Joo Chiat food guide.
Tiong Bahru Bakery Tampines One, 10 Tampines Central 1, #01-19/20 (Tampines MRT). Daily 8am to 10pm. A mall cafe, so not quiet, but open late and right on the MRT.
Tiong Bahru Bakery Siglap, 77 Upper East Coast Road, #01-01 (Siglap MRT). Monday to Friday 7.30am to 8pm, weekends 8am to 8pm. The calmer east-side option if Tampines is too busy. If you would rather work over a proper meal, try Makan Match for a quick list of places.
