Paying $10 to shop sounds backwards, until you see the hall. Our reel opened on a wall of people with red shopping bags, queueing between rows of brand signs, under the line "up to 90% off". A ticket is how the organiser keeps that crowd to a number the hall can hold.
If you bought one thing, easily. The Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey we filmed was $49 against a listed $191, so the ticket paid for itself on the first bottle. If you came to look, it was $10 to stand in a crowd.
The $30 VIP Pass was the bet for people who already knew what they wanted. Our caption listed the price but not the perks, and we are not going to make them up. The caption also flagged giveaways, with the terms on the Beauty Fiesta website.
