What you get for $10

Four of the ten are new: Golden Salt and Pepper Tofu, Sambal Chicken Fried Bee Hoon, Chili Crab Sauce Lala and Salted Fish Fried Rice. The other six are regulars from the zi char side of the menu: Salted Egg Pumpkin, Sweet and Sour Pork, Homemade Ngoh Hiang with Tiger Prawn, Bean Sprouts with Salted Fish, Scramble Egg with Tiger Prawns, and a Yuan Yang Dessert that pairs Mango Sago with Coconut Ice Cream with Sago.

The chicken rice itself is not one of the ten. That is the stall's whole reputation, so the $10 menu is really a push for the side dishes, and it works best if you bring people. Four of you, one chicken, three or four of these plates, and dinner in Orchard stops being a $40 a head thing.

The fine print

The poster's terms: the Yuan Yang Dessert is fixed with no substitutions, the deal is for dine-in and takeaway, prices are subject to service charge and GST, and it runs while stocks last. So $10 on the menu lands closer to $12 at the table.
