STPI’s New Blank Puzzle Exhibition Has Free Tours and a Drop-In Puzzle Activity
Yoo Hyun Mi’s The Blank Puzzle (The Image Yet to Come) opened at STPI on 31 October, turning the unprinted reverse of a jigsaw piece into a starting point for art.

A puzzle without one predetermined answer
The exhibition develops a project Yoo began in 1998. Works move between sculpture, painting and print, playing with the relationship between an image and a physical object.
Look for the room-within-a-room presentation of A Perfect Duet and a reading room with the artist’s short story. The gallery’s presentation follows her STPI residencies in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
Join a free tour or contribute a piece
English guided tours are listed for Thursdays at 11.30 am and Saturdays at 2 pm or 5 pm. They last an hour and include a visit to STPI’s print-and-papermaking workshop. Tours are free, and drop-ins are welcome; check the registration page for the specific session.
The Bigger Picture is a separate free, drop-in activity during gallery hours. Personalise a puzzle piece and add it to a shared image that grows throughout the exhibition. No registration is required for that activity.
Plan a Monday–Saturday visit
STPI is at 41 Robertson Quay, with free admission from 10 am to 7 pm Monday–Saturday. It is closed on Sundays and public holidays. The exhibition runs through 12 December; opening-day performances have already finished.
The gallery’s directions suggest Fort Canning MRT Exit A, followed by an approximately eight-minute walk. Use its visitor page for other transport options.
