Sanrio CNY Pop-Up at Far East Malls 2026: Season of Love Recap

What the Sanrio Season of Love pop-up was

Think Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll and Pompompurin in CNY outfits, standing outside little red houses with lanterns, couplets and mandarin oranges. Orchard Central had the big one: an arched pathway at the entrance with a giant Hello Kitty on top. It was a lot cuter than mall CNY decor has any right to be.

Where the pop-up stores were, and the real dates

Far East Malls listed three retail pop-ups, all open 11am to 9pm. One Holland Village had its Level 1 atrium store from 23 Jan to 8 Mar. Clarke Quay Central ran from 6 Jan to 8 Mar, beside Guardian. Orchard Central opened first, on 5 Jan, in the Level 1 atrium opposite Molly Tea.

One correction to our own slide: we said Orchard Central was till 15 Feb. Far East Malls' page later listed it as running to 1 Mar, so it stayed up two weeks longer than we told you.

The free stuff, and how fast it went

Spend $68 in one receipt and you could redeem a set of four Sanrio festive couplets through the shopFarEast app. Spend $180 across up to two same-day receipts and you also got a reversible orange bag, in Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll and Pompompurin first, then My Melody and Kuromi from 6 Feb.

By the last day, Far East's stock tracker showed every bag design and the couplets fully redeemed at every collection point. So yes, people spent the angpao money. We did warn you.
