Munchi Pistachio Kunafa Pancake: Dubai Chocolate at 40 Outlets
Munchi Pancakes added a Pistachio Kunafa flavour to its min jiang kueh line-up on 9 July 2026, at every outlet. It is the viral Dubai chocolate combination, pistachio cream plus crunchy shredded kunafa pastry, folded into a soft local pancake, and Munchi's own locations page lists 40 outlets islandwide, from hawker centres to Jewel Changi Airport and the Singapore Zoo.
What pistachio kunafa actually is
Kunafa, also spelled kataifi, is a Middle Eastern pastry made from very fine shredded dough. Toasted, it turns into crisp golden threads, and paired with sweet pistachio cream it is the exact filling that made the Dubai chocolate bar go everywhere last year. Munchi's version puts that filling inside min jiang kueh instead of chocolate, which is a much cheaper way to find out what the fuss is about than buying an imported bar. Singapore has been working through this flavour for a while now, right down to Dubai chocolate cookies. Two are worth knowing about before you plan a trip: Jewel Changi Airport and Mandai Wildlife East inside the Singapore Zoo, which are the only two you cannot just walk into off the street. New flavours at heartland outlets tend to be gone by late afternoon, and a trending one like this goes faster. A morning or lunchtime run is the safe version.
Why it matters
