Ministry of Spud Egg Mayo and Chilli Con Carne: Our Christmas 2025 Order

Our order at Ministry of Spud's Christmas 2025 stall outside Takashimaya was the egg mayo and the chilli beef con carne, and those were the two we told everyone to get. The stall sat in the open area beside the outdoor fountain at Ngee Ann City until 1 January 2026, open 1pm to 10pm, and has since moved on.

The two we said to get

Egg mayo sounds like the safe pick. It is not. It is soft, rich, and the bang bang sauce on top cuts through it, which is why we keep putting it on the list. The chilli beef con carne is the heavier one, topped with crispy fried shallots and garlic chips, and it eats like a full meal.

On our cover you can also see the mac and cheese with bang bang sauce, the one that won our Ministry of Spud tier list. Get that too if there are three of you. But the caption was clear on which two we would fight for.

Where the stall was

Our post called it the Takashimaya Christmas Festival. It was the Christmas fair on Ngee Ann City's Civic Plaza, right in front of Takashimaya, which Kiztopia ran as the Great Christmas Village from 8 November 2025 to 1 January 2026. We covered the fair itself, the rides and the rest of the stalls, in our Great Christmas Village piece.

This one is just about the potatoes. The stall ran 1pm to 10pm, so it worked as a late dinner after Orchard shopping.

Where to find Ministry of Spud now

Ministry of Spud does not have a fixed shop. It moves between night markets, bazaars and festive fairs, so last December's spot tells you nothing about this week. Check @ministryofspud on Instagram before you travel for one.
