Our three must-tries at KOBASHI, 79 South Bridge Road, were the Sourdough Grilled Cheese, the Umami Lala and the limited-time Durian Sourdough Donut. Until 15 December 2025, following @eventful_sg and @kobashi_sg on Instagram or TikTok got you 40% off all their bakes.
The Sourdough Grilled Cheese is the safe one. Time Out listed it at $14 with a house-made tomato dip when the cafe opened in 2024. Thick sourdough, a lot of cheese, a dip. Hard to get wrong.
The Umami Lala is the one that surprised us. And the durian sourdo'nut was on its limited run, which we covered here, with the two flavours compared.
Two steps. Follow @eventful_sg and @kobashi_sg on Instagram or TikTok, then show the staff and claim it. The 40% was on all bakes, which per our caption included the bombolinis, cookies and sourdough loaves. It ran until 15 December 2025 and has ended.
Forty percent off sourdough bread is a real saving. That is where we would have spent it, not on one doughnut.
KOBASHI is still open and still posting in October 2026. We have not rechecked whether the Umami Lala is on today's menu. Today the shop at 79 South Bridge Road lists Monday to Saturday 10am to 6pm and Sunday 10am to 4pm, kitchen last orders an hour before close (kobashi.sg, checked 15 Oct 2026).
· Grilled cheese for lunch, a loaf to take home.
· Weekdays before noon are quieter.
· Sunday closes at 4pm, earlier than the rest of the week.
Our picks were the Sourdough Grilled Cheese, the Umami Lala and, when it is on, the durian sourdo'nut.
No. It ran until 15 December 2025 for people who followed both @eventful_sg and @kobashi_sg.
Monday to Saturday 10am to 6pm and Sunday 10am to 4pm, per kobashi.sg on 15 October 2026.
