What Joyful Dreamland is

It is a pop-up park on the open square next to Sutera Mall, all purple turf, rainbow slides and giant yellow ducks. The headline gimmick is that it runs on zero electricity. The solo rollercoaster, the Ferris wheel and the carousel all have bicycle pedals, and the ride only moves as fast as you pedal.

How much it cost and the hours

Our slide had it at RM38 a ticket, and our caption listed the hours as 5pm to 12am daily, running till December 2026. We did not price the family bundles, so check the gate or the park's Instagram for those.

Because it opens at 5pm, it suited a shopping run that ends after dark. Besides the pedal rides there were rainbow slides, bouncy castles, suspension bridges and donut tyre slides, which is why it read more like a playground for kids than a ride park for adults.

Where it is

Joyful Dreamland sits at Sutera Square, outside Sutera Mall in Taman Sutera Utama, Skudai. That is on the west side of JB, so it is a Grab ride from the CIQ rather than a walk. Because it opens at 5pm, most people pair it with a mall or makan stop in the afternoon.
