At the July 2025 Hougang Pasar Malam beside Hougang MRT Exit B, our table was two Korean corndogs, a box of fried chicken, two Thai teas and two dessert bowls. The bazaar ran from 9 to 29 July 2025 and has ended, so this is a record of the food that made our cut.
Both came from Kwazy Korndog, which we tagged in the post. One was dipped in chocolate and covered in rainbow star sprinkles, the other was drizzled in an orange mayo-style sauce. The chocolate one is the photo, the savoury one is the one you finish.
Korean corndogs show up at nearly every bazaar now. Where they rank against the usual stalls is in our pasar malam food tier list.
The fried chicken came half plain and crispy, half in a sticky red glaze with sesame. Get it mixed, as we did. The plain half stays crunchy longer while you eat the saucy bits.
The Thai teas were a green one and the classic orange. The two dessert bowls were the surprise: one green with a crumbled nut topping, one dark with crushed peanuts and black sesame. Good for sharing after all that fried stuff.
This was a tight lineup: snack food and drinks, not full meals. When the bazaar came back in January 2026 there was more savoury food, Spudzilla potatoes and Ramly burgers included, which we covered in the Jan 2026 Hougang pasar malam prices. Getting-there details for the July run are in our July 2025 getting-there guide.
· Order the fried chicken half and half. Plain and glazed together beats either alone.
· Share the dessert bowls. They are big after a corndog.
· Grab a table first, then send one person to queue.
Our picks were Korean corndogs from Kwazy Korndog, fried chicken plain and glazed, Thai tea and dessert bowls.
