Some openings deserve more hype than a new bubble tea shop. Food From The Heart has officially opened its 6th Community Shop, this one in Bedok South, joining a network that helps support over 3,000 families every month with access to essential groceries. Here is where it is, when it runs, and the four easiest ways to actually help.

What a Community Shop does

Food From The Heart's Community Shops give families in need dignified access to essential groceries, closer to a neighbourhood mart than a handout queue. The Bedok South shop is the charity's sixth, and the network collectively supports more than 3,000 families a month. It runs at Blk 13 Bedok South Road, #01-605, Singapore 460013, open every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 9.30am to 12.30pm.

Four ways to pitch in

1. Food Drop Box. A dedicated donation box at the shop takes food donations 24/7, so you can drop things off any time, not just during opening hours.
2. Food donation drives. Staples matter most: rice, canned food, oats, instant beverages and other items on their wishlist.
3. Sponsor a food bundle. Bundles start from $40 and go directly to supporting families and students in need.
4. Share it. A simple share helps Food From The Heart reach more donors, volunteers and beneficiaries. It costs nothing and genuinely moves the needle.
