Family Mookata's free-flow mookata buffet is $19.90 nett per adult, and that covers the whole counter: marinated meats, seafood, noodles, vegetables, lok lok and a cheese dip on the pan. Kids from 100cm to 140cm pay $14.90, you need at least two people, and you can book Ang Mo Kio, Yishun or Jurong West free on Eventful Tables.
Our reel shows one round on the pan: pork belly and marinated chicken on the dome, scallops, a foil tray of melted cheese, and instant noodles, cabbage, enoki and fishballs going round in the soup. That is one trip to the counter. You can go back as many times as you like.
Family Mookata's own menu also lists smoked duck, live baby lobster and crayfish, flower crab, a lok lok station and dessert. We wrote down every tray in the full food list, and if you are new to the pan itself, how to eat mookata covers the basics.
Seafood first, carbs last. The noodles and fishballs fill you up fastest and are the cheapest things on the counter, so they belong at the end.
Start the dome with a few strips of pork belly. The fat runs down and greases the grill for everything after it, and it flavours the soup in the moat. Then scallops and prawns on top, and drop the shellfish into the soup. Grab the cheese dip early, it takes a while to melt.
What is on the seafood counter can change from day to day, so ask the outlet if one item is the whole reason you are going.
The how to claim on our post is simple: make a free Eventful Tables account, then book Family Mookata. Pick Ang Mo Kio at Blk 215 Ang Mo Kio Ave 1, Yishun at Northview Bizhub, or Jurong West at Blk 429 Jurong West Ave 1. All three open 1pm to 11pm, last orders 9.30pm.
The cheapest timings: Mon to Fri, 1pm to 4pm, 10% off all food, and Mon to Thu, 5pm to 8pm, 5% off. Drinks are not included, there are no discounts on public holidays, and each discounted timing only takes 5 bookings, so the good slots go first.
