Eventful's $50 Monthly Giveaway: How It Works and the Fake Accounts
We run one giveaway a month: $50 cash to a single random follower, and following @eventful_sg is the entire entry requirement. There is no comment to leave, no tag, no share, and the one thing worth reading twice is how we contact the winner, because impersonators use these giveaways as bait.
How to enter, and what does not help
Follow us on any of our platforms. That is it. Commenting does not increase your odds, because the winner is drawn at random from followers, not from a comment thread. One winner per month, and the draw resets every month, so a follow keeps you in every future round without doing anything else. The impersonation warning, in plain terms
We contact the winner by DM from @eventful_sg and nowhere else. If an account with a similar handle messages you saying you have won, it is not us. Do not accept it, do not send any details, and do not click anything it sends. Giveaway impersonation on Instagram usually follows the same script: a near-identical handle, a congratulations message, then a request for a fee, a link, or your personal details. A real giveaway never asks you to pay to receive it.
Why we run it this way
Follow-only draws get criticised for being too easy, which is exactly the point. Comment-and-tag mechanics reward people who spam the same three friends on every post and they make the entry list a worse sample of who actually reads us. A flat random draw from followers is cleaner, and it means the answer to "how do I improve my chances" is honestly nothing.
