For curry laksa, go to King of Laksa in Aljunied (a new 2026 Michelin Bib Gourmand), 328 Katong Laksa on East Coast Road, or Famous Sungei Road Trishaw Laksa at Hong Lim. For something different, KANTIN at Jewel does Sarawak laksa and Jason Penang Cuisine does assam laksa. 10 bowls below, grouped by style.

The Katong style is cut noodles you eat with a spoon, no chopsticks. Michelin featured it in a 2017 laksa piece. Walk it off with our Joo Chiat and Katong guide.
Famous Sungei Road Trishaw Laksa, Hong Lim Market & Food Centre #02-66, Blk 531A Upper Cross Street, near Chinatown MRT. Sarawak laksa is its own dish. KANTIN calls itself Singapore's only Bornean kitchen. Not halal; it pours tuak and beer. Book KANTIN free on Eventful Tables, or read soup or Superdry first.
Chatterbox, Hilton Singapore Orchard #05-03, 333 Orchard Road, near Somerset MRT. Lobster laksa is on its menu next to the famous chicken rice. Lunch weekdays 11.30am to 4.30pm, dinner from 5.30pm. The splurge bowl, best when someone else is paying.
· Curry laksa and assam laksa are different dishes. If you hate sour, skip Jason Penang and Penang Kitchen.
· Katong laksa is eaten with a spoon only. The noodles are cut short for a reason.
