How the $7 steak day worked

The restaurant billed it as "$7 Deals for 7 Proper Years" on its own Instagram. Only the Feather Blade cut was $7, nothing else on the steak menu. Last orders were 2pm at lunch and 9pm at dinner, and there were no reservations for it at all, so the queue was the booking system.

It was a Wednesday, hence our caption asking whether it was worth taking leave. We have seen the same one-day anniversary move from Tofu G, which gave away 1,460 free scoops for its first birthday.

The price matches the birthday

The Feather Blade opened in 2019 and is run by Proper Concepts. For its fifth birthday in March 2024 it did $5 steaks, and in 2026 it was $7 for seven. That is a nice habit for a steakhouse to have. We are not promising an $8 day in 2027, but if you want to catch it, watch @thefeatherblade in March.

The same post announced $7 sides all year, at lunch and dinner before 7pm, for walk-ins and reservations, tiger prawns excluded. By August 2026 the restaurant's own posts showed it as $7 sides with any drink ordered before 7pm or after 8.30pm. The terms have moved once already, so check their Instagram before you plan a meal around it.
