Sonic Bistro at SAFRA Choa Chu Kang has a kids menu at $10 to $11: three pastas and mac and cheese at $10, and mini chicken karaage or beef burgers with fries at $11. Desserts start at $4, and online bookings take up to 20 people.
Five items, from the merchant's menu: Ham and Mushroom Pasta $10, Creamy Mushroom Pasta $10, Mac and Cheese $10 with nacho cheese and bacon bits, Mini Chicken Karaage Burger $11 and Mini Beef Burger $11. Both burgers come with fries.
All five contain dairy, and two have pork, so check with staff about allergies. Prices are before 9% GST and 10% service charge.
What the adults eat

The Chocolate Mousse and Lemon Posset are $4 each, the cheapest way to end a kids dinner. Midnight Nutty Brownie with ice cream is $8 (contains cashews), Berry Bliss cheesecake $10 and Coconut Bliss $13.
Skip the Sonic Tiramisu for the kids. The menu says it contains alcohol.
Timing it with kids
Weekends open at 11am, which is the easy family window. Weekdays start at 5pm. The kitchen's last orders are 9.30pm Sunday to Thursday, so book by 7pm on a school night.
