Shin Katsu Black Truffle Katsu Giveaway, Oct 2025: How It Worked

What Shin Katsu is

A tonkatsu restaurant on Tanjong Pagar Road that opened in mid-2025. The dish on our slides is the Mille-Feuille Black Truffle Katsu: thin pork layered with black truffle, breaded and fried, so every slice has a dark stripe through it.

City Nomads listed it in July 2025 with Chef Matsubayashi Masato, formerly of Ma Maison, in the kitchen and Mangalica and Kurobuta pork on the menu.

How the giveaway worked

Like the post, follow @eventful_sg and @shinkatsu.sg, then comment and tag two friends who love truffle and tonkatsu. One entry per account, one voucher per winner.

Five winners in total: two got $100 vouchers and three got $50. The comments went past 400, which tells you how many people have a friend who would fight for truffle katsu. The group behind it, The Gourmet Factor, also runs Fortuna, per our earlier interview post.
