Part 2 of our honest Saizeriya Singapore ratings: Carbonara 8/10, Garlic Focaccia 9/10, Four Cheese Ravioli 10/10, Tiramisu 8/10, Black Truffle Mushroom pasta 11/10 and Salmon Doria 10/10. The drink bar, as the caption says, is 12/10. Every dish here costs under $8 on the current menu, nett.
Carbonara, 8/10. The most value for money pasta you can get, and at $5.90 nett that is not an exaggeration. Garlic Focaccia, 9/10. $2.30 and nobody orders it, which we still do not understand. Four Cheese Ravioli, 10/10. Mozzarella, ricotta, gorgonzola and pecorino inside, baked with cheese on top, $5.90. If we could not get fat we would eat it every day.
Tiramisu, 8/10. $4.90, no complaints at all. For what the menu looks like after the September refresh, see our Saizeriya Grand Menu piece.
Black Truffle and Mushroom pasta, 11/10. It was the surprise of the list. Truffle cream sauce with mushrooms for $7.90 should not be this good. Salmon Doria, 10/10: smoked salmon over rice in white sauce, baked, $6.50. If you have not tried it, that is the order next time.
And the drink bar. $2.90 nett per person for free flow, $1.50 for kids aged 4 to 12, free for 3 and under. No sharing allowed, and yes, they notice.
