What to notice for next year
Two patterns worth remembering. First, the good deals split into two-month runs (1 July to 31 August) and freebie sprints (a few days, capped per outlet). The sprints are the ones you have to plan for.
Second, come in uniform is an accepted substitute for the 11B at several chains, which matters for anyone still serving who does not carry the card around.
