Pet-Friendly Malls in Singapore: 5 That Actually Work

The five, and what each one is good for

One Holland Village. The pet water coolers and the pet parking spots are genuinely useful, which is rare. Time Out reported it opened in December 2023 with pet lifts and an off leash green on Level 2.

Tanglin Mall. A designated pet garden and a run of outdoor cafes that will actually seat you with a dog rather than tolerate it.

The Star Vista. The open air corridor is the draw. Your dog can move without weaving between shoppers.

VivoCity. The biggest of the five, and the most restaurants where you can sit with your pet outdoors.

Waterway Point. Come for the promenade, not the mall. You can walk straight out to Punggol Waterway Park.

Read the rules before you drive down

The rules are not the same building to building, and this is where a nice afternoon goes wrong at the entrance.

Outdoor common areas: leashed is fine at all five. Indoors is where they split. VivoCity asks for a carrier or stroller inside the mall. Waterway Point asks for a fully enclosed carrier or stroller indoors, with leashed walking on its outdoor promenades.

Individual shops and restaurants set their own line on top of the mall's rule, so a mall being pet friendly does not mean every tenant is. Ask at the door and save yourself the argument.

What to bring

A water bowl unless you are at One Holland Village, a mat if your dog will not settle on a cafe floor, and poop bags you do not have to go looking for.

Go on a weekday if your dog is nervous. These malls all get loud on a Saturday, and a stressed dog in a stroller is not a fun afternoon for anyone.
