Exceptional Everyday at Peranakan Museum: New Objects and a Family Trail
Exceptional Everyday: New Acquisitions, New Perspectives is now open at Peranakan Museum, running from 30 October 2026 to 29 August 2027.

New objects, not just a repeat visit
The exhibition uses recent acquisitions to look at design, identity and changing tastes. Everyday objects sit alongside more luxurious pieces, inviting a closer look at who made them and how they were used. It is a specific new reason to revisit the museum, beyond the general collection featured in many indoor day-out ideas.

A trail for families
A discovery trail designed for ages seven and up includes stamps and activity corners, with a sticker to collect at the Level 1 counter. On Level 2, the Design Desk and Portrait Studio add hands-on elements, including oversized soft sculptures.

Admission and a curator-led option
Exhibition admission is $6 for Singaporeans and permanent residents and $18 for foreign visitors. A curator tour on 25 November starts at 7.30pm and costs $25, including admission. Book that separately if you want the guided session rather than an ordinary daytime visit.
