Which Paradox this was

Paradox Singapore Merchant Court at Clarke Quay, Instagram @paradoxmerchantcourt. Its buffet restaurant is Ellenborough Market Cafe, the one known for Peranakan dishes next to the usual hotel spread. Two winners each got one $200 voucher, picked from people who followed both accounts and tagged two friends who love hotel buffets.

The same restaurant later brought back its meat and foie gras buffet in March 2026.

What the Christmas buffets served

There were two. The festive buffet ran to 1 January with roasted tom turkey, gammon ham, pasta tossed in a giant parmesan wheel, seafood on ice with tiger prawns, clams and mussels, plus ayam buah keluak, Nyonya chap chye and beef rendang. Desserts were log cakes and gingerbread gateau.

The Christmas buffet, on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve, swapped the turkey for one with Peranakan spices, which our slide called the Nyonya turkey, added Boston lobsters and gave every diner a glass of Prosecco. That spice-rubbed turkey is the reason to pick this one over a plain hotel roast.

How much $200 actually covered

At $128 per person, a $200 voucher covered one Christmas buffet seat with room to spare, or most of two festive buffet seats at the starting price. Check whether a price is quoted with service charge and GST on top before you do the maths.
