What the PAC-MAN Carnival was

It was put on by ACC9SS and Apex Infinite Entertainment Global with Bandai Namco, for PAC-MAN's 45th anniversary. The site was Palawan Green, the lawn next to Beach Station, the same patch of grass that hosts most of Sentosa's pop-up festivals. Hours were 3pm to 10pm Monday to Thursday and 12pm to 10pm Friday to Sunday, last entry 9pm.

The maze was the reason to go

The life-sized maze was a dark room lit in neon blue with inflatable ghosts at the corners, so you could run it like the game. It was honestly the best-looking part. You needed a ticket tier that included the maze, and there was a 90cm minimum height.

Games, food and tickets

Outside the maze there were PAC-MAN arcade machines, basketball hoops, air hockey and the usual carnival booths, plus a Challenge Arena with four game stations on a big LED wall. Seven F&B stalls sat just outside, doing takoyaki, kebabs, pancakes and drinks.

General admission was $5.90 with one entry and 20 minutes of arcade. Listings also showed a cheaper $2.90 standard entry and pricier bundles that added the maze and more games.
