Melvin Soh is a Singapore sales coach, and our 9 November 2025 post shared his three pieces of advice on making your first million. One: stop doing too much school. Two: target people who can actually spend, then deliver insane results. Three: a buyer must meet four conditions, have a problem, want to solve it, be willing to pay, and have the money.
Per our post, he quit university at 20 and went on to coach many of Asia's top marketers, speakers, coaches and sales leaders. Our caption called him your sales coach's sales coach, and put his client results at over $100M in revenue. The cover slide went further, a uni drop-out who made $25 million in 4 years. Those are the claims as we posted them.
He later spoke at our event, and we wrote about that in his featured guest profile.
Too much school is about the habit of learning instead of doing. You keep coming up with reasons why things cannot be done, when the move is to just start.
The second one, whatever it is, is about who you sell to. You must know how to target people who can spend, and then deliver results good enough that they come back. Cheap customers who cannot afford you are not a market.
This is the one to screenshot. A person only buys if all four are true: they have a problem, they want to solve it, they are willing to pay to solve it, and they have the money to.
Most failed sales miss one. Someone with a problem who does not care enough is not a lead. Someone who cares but is broke is not a lead either.
· Before chasing a lead, check the 4 conditions. If one is missing, move on politely.
· If you catch yourself reading a third book on a topic before trying it, that is the too much school trap.
The buyer must have a problem, want to solve it, be willing to pay to solve it, and have the money to solve it. Per our November 2025 post, all four must be true.
