6 January 2026 · From our Instagram

From 6 to 13 January 2026 we ran a giveaway with Jett Barbecue for three USDA Prime Beef Rib Sets, worth $195 each, one set per winner. It is closed and the winners were contacted by DM. This was our second Jett giveaway, after people kept asking for another one.

What was in the $195 set

Two USDA Prime beef ribs, a tub of mashed potato, coleslaw, and Jett's sauces and pickles. Our slide said it was good for 3 to 5 people, and it came by home delivery. That matches what the set is. You do not eat this alone, you plan a dinner around it.

If you only know Jett from festivals, that is fair. They pulled the long line at Gastrobeats and gave away free tacos at Sentosa GrillFest, which we wrote up in Jett Barbecue's free taco giveaway.

How the giveaway worked

Two steps. Like the post and follow both @jettbarbecue and @eventfulsg.food, then comment and tag two friends who love Jett Barbecue. Three winners, one set each, contacted by DM. It closed on 13 January 2026.

It pulled more than 900 comments, so tagging friends was doing a lot of the work. The first round ran in July 2025 with three tiers of prizes, and the rib set was the top one then too.

Who Jett Barbecue is

Jett Barbecue was started in June 2021 by Chua Jett Yong, out of his parents' house, according to a Vulcan Post profile. It does Texas-style smoked meat on American post oak and has since moved into a commercial kitchen. The meat has gone from a home side project to festival queues in about four years. For the festival side of Jett, see our $50 or the burger street test at Gastrobeats.
