Haidilao Novena $19.90++ Solo Hotpot Set: What Was Included and the Off-Peak Rules
Haidilao Novena ran a Premium Solo Hotpot Set at $19.90++ from 4 May to 31 July 2026, dine-in only, off-peak only, members only. The set was a soup base, sliced meat, vegetables, tofu and fried sides, rice or noodles, and either a canned drink or a Häagen-Dazs mini cup. It has ended, but it is the template for every solo deal Haidilao has run since.
What $19.90++ got you
From the poster: two plates of sliced meat, a basket of vegetables, tofu, fried items and a dip, your choice of rice or noodles, and one of the drinks pictured (Wang Lao Ji, Coke or Sprite) or a Häagen-Dazs cup. With GST and service charge that is about $23.90 nett, which for a Haidilao meal with the full condiment bar and the fruit is the cheapest way in. The tomato plush in our post was the free companion Haidilao seats opposite solo diners, which is still the funniest thing they do.
The off-peak rules that caught people out
The set was only valid Monday to Thursday before 6pm, Friday before 5pm, Sunday to Thursday after 9pm, and the eve of a public holiday before 5pm. Not on weekends, not on public holidays, not with student discounts or vouchers, and you had to be a Haidilao member. Novena outlet only. That is a lot of fine print for $19.90, and the comments on our post were mostly people who turned up on a Saturday.
