Our first networking event at Cheeselads in October was a good room. But it was only mingling. The featured guests, people we had pitched as the reason to come, hardly got any time to speak.

So the second one changed shape. A set topic, real time for the speakers, and networking around it.

How the format worked

We kept the questions sharp but useful, so people could learn as much as possible in a short window. Speakers talked in front of a screen with slides, then the room broke into tables.
