Sunflower Surprise 2026: Flower Dome Display Ends 9 November
Sunflower Surprise: Garden by the Ocean is at Gardens by the Bay's Flower Dome until 9 November 2026, from 9am to 9pm. More than 5,000 sunflowers surround a Portuguese-themed landscape, including a 12m-long recreation of Lisbon's Alfama hillside.

What is inside Sunflower Surprise?
The display includes 20 sunflower varieties, a 6m-tall recreation of the Belém Lighthouse, traditional Lisbon kiosks and Portuguese shopfronts. The Alfama structure has a walk-through route, with windows looking out towards the flowers.
For your festive plans, see our Christmas Train Show guide.

The Portugal connection
Presented with the Embassy of Portugal in Singapore, the display marks 45 years of diplomatic relations. A related history exhibition runs in the Mediterranean Garden until 9 November.
The Experience Portugal programme also lists 15-minute poetry readings there on 7 November at 2pm, 3pm and 4pm. These alternate between Portuguese and English and are free with Flower Dome admission.

Do you need a separate display ticket?
The official listing says Flower Dome admission charges apply. Choose the admission category that matches your residency and any other conservatories you want to visit.
