Free Hisaishi and Zimmer Music at Esplanade on 5 November
Alouette Ensemble performs Stories in Sound at Esplanade Concourse on 5 November 2026, with free sets at 6.45pm and 7.45pm. Each 30-minute performance features film music arranged for string quartet, including works by Joe Hisaishi and Hans Zimmer.
Who is performing?
Singapore’s Alouette Ensemble is playing, not Hisaishi or Zimmer themselves. The appeal here is hearing film themes on four string instruments. For a different live-music plan at the same arts centre, our Diana Krall guide covers her November concerts.
Which set fits your evening?
- 6.45pm: the earlier performance.
- 7.45pm: the later performance.
What is on the programme?
Esplanade describes music spanning animation, adventure, drama and fantasy, but does not publish a song-by-song list on this page. No particular film theme is guaranteed. Check the official listing before travelling, or browse more options on the Eventful blog.
